The Eastern Red Cedar is CHB Custom Fillet Knives, LLC signature knife. The array of changing color and grain even in the same piece of stock is simply amazing! It is not uncommon to find a light, blond/almond coloring on one end of the stock only to find marbling deep red/maroon coloring on the other end. When ordering, you can indicate a preference but it is simply impossible to replicate the same coloring and grain since no two are alike.
Three blades available:(1) A 7.25" heat treated hardened stainless steel, polished mirror finished blade with upper cutting edge;
(2) A 7.25" single edge heat treated hardened stainless steel, polished mirror finished blade;
(3) A 6.75" single edge heat treated hardened stainless steel, polished mirror finished blade. BE SURE TO INDICATE BLADE TYPE #1, #2, or #3 WHEN ORDERING!

I was told by a long-standing customer that his 7-year-old knife was, "like new." I asked, "How can that be?" He said, "Because I take care of it!" So, I encourage three things; (1) it is sharpened. You keep it HONED! (2) Blade is friction fit (channeled) in the sheath. Reinsert the blade in same spot you extracted it. (3) A little mild soap and water, rinse, and wipe dry.
